New things coming soon... →

I’m in the process of developing my domains. One in my name and one in my Internet ID (the shortcode most of you know me as: iWIC3).

I’m not a great developer… This page features a borrowed layout with some random customizations I’ve added. Not bad… but far from where I’d like it to be.

So, as you can guess… I’m looking for a developer. You can help! Just contact me.

A few things I’ve done today

As always, I’m looking for new ways to expand my network as well as ways to save some money.

Today, I’ve signed up for & activated my Skype account (iWICB) and also finally taken advantage of the great deals Groupon offers.

So, Skype me anytime (I have the app on my iPhone 4) and we can chat about Groupon, or anything else you’d like. Thanks for reading this.

Enjoy your day! 8D

*Incredible night of baseball... this is why I love this game!! Within one hour the Cardinals beat the Astros, then the Phillies beat the Braves - this eliminated the Braves from the playoffs. Within 20 minutes later, the Orioles defeated the Red Sox - eliminating them from the playoffs when just a few minutes later, the Rays walked it off against the Yankees. INCREDIBLE!! So... here's the MLB playoff...Edit →

Okay, so the Phillies have lost 5 in a row for the first time since May 2010. At least they're getting this out of their system now. I'd hate to see them win every game until October and then start failing. I'm certain they'll be back to their winning ways before then. I will never give up on this team. I truly have no worries and wish Philadelphia and the national media would quit panicking. There... I've said my piece concerning the Phillies. 8D →

@SpikeEskin: Rock Isn't Dead, Just Rock Radio →

Guns N' Roses

With last week’s announcement that 94WYSP would be no more, I heard the rumblings again.

More proof that rock is dead!

Nah, not true.

Rock isn’t dead. Rock radio is dead. Rock radio is dead because rock n’ roll killed it. Like a coup of an evil dictator, rock n’ roll has stepped in and…

PBSA Certified Mixologist & Bartender

I recently completed the final step to my certification at the Mixology Wine Institute on City Avenue in Philadelphia… the speed test.

The objective was to complete at least 12 correct drinks in 8 minutes. Task Complete. Wooooo Hooooo!!

I now have my certification & have had my Flair Class. Next up is the Wine Pairing Class and then in July, the ServSafe Certification.

I started at MWI in April. Spent the month of April learning alcohols, drinks & laws. In May, most of my time consisted of practicing pouring technique and increasing my speed in recalling the 350+ drinks learned. By Memorial Day I felt confident in my ability to make 97% of the required drinks & it was time to prove it!

I took the speed test twice a day for three days (not consecutively, rather over a course of a few weeks) before I passed; increasing my speed in recall & method each time.

Warren, Ashley, Stacy & Andre were all responsible for my success. Their instruction, combined with their patience and confidence in me helped me & inspired me to carry through, even when I was confused, frustrated or uncertain.

I was determined to graduate & driven to better myself each opportunity I got behind the bar. The many students I met through the weeks were very supportive & now I’d like to be as much a part of their improvements as they were mine.

I thank all who took my business card, listened to my corny jokes, and watched me fail only to succeed as I never had before. I never could have done this alone.

Thank you!

This summer, I look to bartend private parties throughout the Philadelphia Metro Region. If you have an event coming up with up to 40 guests all over the age of 21 & you’d like to request my services as your bartender, contact me via email with “Private Party (date)” in the subject line.

If guests at your party may be underage, please use “Family Party (date)” in the subject line. Thank you.

Shower Tunes

There may be no better album to listen to while preparing for the day. From the time to start undressing to get into the shower, to enjoying your shower, to shampooing & soaping up, rinsing off, then drying off, brushing your teeth, shaving & finally getting dressed… than the self-titled album by The Doors. “Break on Through”… to …”The End”. 8D

Differences between the first & second model Square card reader include the size. The new one is slightly larger in diameter, but slimmer & has curved edges. Plus the Square logo is stamped only on one side, where the card should be facing when swiped. The other side (pictured) is the side the magnetic strip should be facing when swiped.

The original Square device (on the left) has been modified to accept multiple swipe speeds as well as cut out the interference it was causing with the iPhone 4. You can see the new device (on the right) has plastic between the antennae and the device. This permits transmission of the card data, whereas you needed a piece of paper in place between the older card reader and iPhone 4 before this new release.
